July, 2004 - Self-Taught drummer Dusty Spears moves from Inez, Kentucky to Decatur Tennesee where he meets fellow members of the future band Mäus.

Sometime, 2004 - Guitarist Chris Hayes meets Dustin Spears and talks of forming a band, though  no action is taken at the time.

August, 2004 - Prestages of Mäus develop from Garage Band Definate Shutdown.

August, 2005 - Bassist Travis Posey joins the band.

September, 2005 - The band needs a keyboard player. Former drummer Chance Bishop switches to Keyboard to allow the better drummer ( Dusty Spears ) take his place.

April, 2007 - Working titles for a band name float around and the name Mäus is chosen temporarily.

March, 2007 - The band are unable to perform their first show due to lack of equipment.

May, 2007 - The name Mäus is agreed to be the permanent name of the band.

August, 2007 - Mäus take a break from their work due to financial trouble.

October, 2008 - The band reunite and begin practice and recording for a first album. The Album in production will include various songs written by Lead Singer / Lead Guitarist Chris Hayes as well as a few cover tracks.

 January, 2009 - Chance and Travis are no longer considered band members due to geographical and musical complications. Chris is busy looking for talent for the band and is experimenting with various guitar styles.

March, 2009 - Dusty and Chris have first real jam session and brain storm. Band name changes from Maus to Sultan. Chance rejoins the band as bass player. Cody Jenkins  joins the band as rhythm guitarist leaving only a lead vocalist to be found.

 Late March, 2009 - Chris is busy patching a small recording studio together for the first few demo tracks of the band to promote their first album.
